Liverpool’s Luis Diaz played a pivotal role in Colombia’s 3-0 win against Bolivia during their Copa America warmup match in the United States.
Early in the game, Jhon Arias capitalized on Bolivia’s defensive lapse, scoring from 12 yards out. Diaz then assisted Jhon Cordoba, who doubled the lead with a precise shot into the far corner. Just before halftime, Diaz combined with Deiver Machado, maneuvering past a defender to score Colombia’s third goal.
The match saw both teams reduced to 10 men following red cards for Colombia’s Daniel Munoz and Bolivia’s Cesar Menacho due to violent conduct.
This victory extends Colombia’s unbeaten streak to 20 games under coach Nestor Lorenzo. The match served as a final tune-up before the Copa America, where Colombia will face Paraguay, Costa Rica, and Brazil in the group stage. Bolivia’s group includes the United States, Uruguay, and Panama.
