The arrival of the dutch manager Arne Slott at Liverpool will make a lot of changes at the club. The new manager will try to find the best players to sign so he could lead the team to all the trophies from the next season.
Liverpool and Slott wants to go for Ollie Watkins, Aston Villa strikers who showed a magical performance over all of this season. With him as a striker, Aston Villa reached the fourth place in Premier League and they will take part on Uefa Champions League next season.
The decision of the board is that they should prepare a bid for the English striker and make possible the signing of the 28 year old.
Watkins scored 27 goals in all competitions, 19 goals and 13 assists only on Premier League and this shows that he is ready to compete with every striker in the world right now in this level.
For Liverpool this would be a really good change in the 9 position, despite having Darwin Nunez on the team which managed to score 11 goals and provide 8 assists in the Premier League this season.
Uruguayan striker is not having his best time at the club yet so the board and most of the fans think that he will never reach the level that everyone dreams about. The signing of Ollie Watkins would be a major upgrade in the scouse team and that’s why the board with Arne Slott are considering this as an option.
