Liverpool’s search for new signings has yet to bear fruit, but the club appears to be on the verge of saying goodbye to another player. Bobby Clark seems set to leave Anfield, with Red Bull Salzburg reportedly agreeing to a deal worth €11.65 million (£10 million) for the 19-year-old.
After seeing two previous bids rejected, Salzburg’s third offer finally met Liverpool’s demands. The deal includes not only a sell-on clause but also gives Liverpool the right of first refusal if Salzburg decides to sell Clark in the future.
Football insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed the transfer, stating on social media that the young midfielder is set to join Pep Lijnders’ side at Salzburg. The move is expected to be finalized soon, with personal terms likely just a formality at this stage.
As the transfer window draws closer to its end, Liverpool fans are still waiting for news of new arrivals, but it appears the club is focused on negotiating outgoing transfers instead.
