Liverpool ready to sign generational talent from Chelsea

Liverpool are on the verge of acquiring Rio Ngumoha, a highly-regarded young forward currently with Chelsea. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are ready to adjust their Academy wage structure to secure the 15-year-old talent. Ngumoha has drawn interest from several top European clubs, but Liverpool seem to have the edge in signing him.

Ngumoha’s potential move to Liverpool would add him to the growing list of Nigeria-eligible players in their youth setup, joining the likes of Afolami Onanuga, Wellity Lucky, and Louis Enahoro-Marcus. Known for his ability to navigate tight spaces and evade defenders, Ngumoha has been compared to Jamal Musiala, another former Chelsea youth who now shines at Bayern Munich.

The young forward showcased his talent by winning the Premier League U16 Nationals Player of the Tournament last October, leading Chelsea to victory. He also made a significant impact in the U17 Premier League Cup final, scoring a brilliant goal.

Last season, Ngumoha appeared nine times in the U18 Premier League and even had opportunities to train with Chelsea’s first team. His potential move to Liverpool signals a promising addition to their youth ranks, aiming to nurture and develop his talents further.
